Application area TF- WF300 series
With their externally mounted weighing mechanism, the TF series flowmeters for solid materials guarantee maximum reliability even with corrosive, abrasive or hot materials. Designed to control materials of different particle sizes, densities and fluidity (e.g. fine powder such as cement), they work perfectly with process temperatures up to 230 °C (450 °F). These flow meters help to improve the quality of the end product, increase productivity and realise considerable cost savings. When used with a compatible ILE37/ILE61 measuring head and a microprocessor-based integrator, the TFSF500 series flowmeters for solids provide an accurate indication of the instantaneous flow rate and totalised quantity as well as possible alarm signals. The 0/4 to 20 mA output signals are proportional to the flow rate, and an open collector output is available for external totalization. The bulk material falls through the flow guide against the measuring plate, thus causing a mechanical deflection. It then continues to fall unimpeded. The horizontal force of the deflection is converted into an electrical signal via the LVDT differential transformer. The integrator processes the signal and provides an immediate indication of the instantaneous flow rate and totalised quantity. Since only the horizontal force is measured, the vertical force due to material build-up has no effect. Flow meters for TFE solids are fully enclosed. They have an external measuring sensor and can work with corrosive, abrasive or hot. For applications with limited headroom, TFV solids flowmeters are the ideal solution.
