The pressure transmitters made by Terry Ferraris are based on the load cell operating principle.
The main uses are in boreholes for measuring the hydraulic flap, on dams or wherever a level reading is needed at great depth. The dimensions of the sensors are extremely small and the reliability, precision and ease of installation are the best that can be found in the pressure transmitter sector today.
MP sensors are also particularly useful in those applications where frequent relocation is required. The cables used and the sensor are sized to withstand use in particularly difficult conditions, where robustness, vibration inference, shock and abrasion resistance are required (e.g. oil platforms, environments with frequent atmospheric discharges, etc.).
Temperature drift is extremely low and is compensated for. The cable is shielded and has a barometric compensation tube in the measuring cell used to compensate for any changes in ambient pressure. The measuring ranges cover pressures or heads up to 33 bar. The high permissible impedances guarantee the rejection of disturbances in the measurement.
